Ancient Shu Civilization to Engage with the World in Dialogue
The 2025 Sanxingdui Forum will Commence in Deyang on September 26

On the morning of September 22, a press conference for the 2025 Sanxingdui Forum was held at the Information Office of Sichuan Provincial People's Government. It was announced that the forum, scheduled to take place in Deyang from September 26 to 28, will revolve around the theme of "Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Civilizations from an Archaeological Perspective", vividly narrating the remarkable story of ancient Shu civilization's engagement with the rest of the world.

This year's Sanxingdui Forum is jointly organized by the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, the Publicity Department of the CPC Deyang Municipal Committee, and the CPC Guanghan Municipal Committee, with the main session forum lasting for three days.

The opening ceremony and main forum have been confirmed to commence on the morning of September 27. On this occasion, renowned international and domestic experts will deliver keynote speeches on topics including the unique charm of Sanxingdui, the multidimensional and international perspectives of Sanxingdui civilization research, and reflections on prehistoric cultures of the Chengdu Plain. Meanwhile, the gathered experts will release the "latest research findings and key projects on Sanxingdui", offering the global academic community and the public a fresh window into understanding the Sanxingdui civilization that once flourished, while promoting academic exchange and research collaboration across numerous relevant fields.

In the afternoon, four parallel forums will be held concurrently, covering dimensions such as civilization decoding, global dialogue, cultural dissemination, and youth innovation.

"Join hands with the 'Sanxingdui of the world' to engage in dialogue between diverse civilizations; explore the 'world of Sanxingdui' to jointly unravel the mysteries of ancient Shu." Even now, as Deyang's cultural "business card" presented to the world, Sanxingdui continues to connect the global network for civilizational exchanges with an open attitude. At the press conference, Deyang extended a global invitation to worldwide guests, inviting them to attend the cultural feast and experience the profound depth and vibrant vitality of the ancient Shu civilization.
